About Cottleville
Cottleville has one of the most distinct personalities in St. Charles County. It has a small-town feel centered around Old Town, but much of the surrounding housing is newer suburban development. You’ll find established neighborhoods like Timberwood Trails and Miralago, along with newer communities like Cottleville Trails. One of the things that makes Cottleville unique is the golf-cart culture. Depending on where you live, you can literally hop in the golf cart and head into town for dinner or coffee…. It’s a really big deal!
Local Highlights
Old Town Cottleville is really what gives the area its character. Frankie Martin's Garden is one of my favorite spots. It’s an outdoor food-truck garden with drinks, live music, and plenty of room to hang out. The kids love it too! For a more upscale eatery, look into The Rack House Kitchen. They have phenomenal made from scratch food and a very large drink menu. One of the true Cottleville staples is Upshot Coffee. A great place for meeting a friend or getting some work done. If I’m in Cottleville, there is a good chance I’m stopping in.
What Buyers Should Know
Cottleville is small, but the housing can vary quite a bit. Timberwood Trails gives you more mature trees and larger lots close to Old Town and rest while areas like Miralago and Cottleville Trails have a newer subdivision feel with more community amenities.
For me, the biggest draw of Cottleville is the community feel. There aren't many suburbs where you can live in a newer neighborhood, take a golf cart into Old Town, grab pizza or a drink, hit a park, and actually feel like you're part of a little town instead of just another subdivision.
